Massachusetts woman has sentimental plan after hitting $1 million on State Lottery scratch ticket

Big lottery wins can be life changing but sometimes they can also be heartwarming as is the case with a recent State Lottery win in Massachusetts.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Dawn Varley of Whitman is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Cash Doubler” $10 instant ticket game.

She chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). Varley plans on purchasing her family home with the winnings.  

She purchased her winning ticket at Little Comfort General Store, 50 Washington St. in Whitman. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

$4,000,000 Cash Doubler has two $4,000,000 and four $1,000,000 prizes remaining.
