Winner has family in mind after hitting big $15 million prize on State Lottery scratch ticket

A winner of a massive State Lottery prize on a scratch ticket is all about family, and who can blame them?

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, 2026 Dad and Daughters Trust of Vineyard Haven has claimed the third and final $15 million grand prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Millions” instant ticket game.

The trust, represented by trustee John Kennan Jr., opted to receive its prize in the form of a one-time payment of $9,750,000 (before taxes). The trustee said the winner plans on taking care of their family with the winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at VFW Post 9261, 14 Towanticut St. in Oak Bluffs. The store receives a $50,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
