Fall River Fire Department battling flames and smoke at 3 story residence
The Fall River Fire Department is currently battling a blaze at a city residence.
According to scanner transmissions, at just before 6:30 p.m., a call came into dispatch for flames and smoke showing at 1138 North Main Street, across the street from Morton Middle School.
An officer on scene noted that he could see black smoke.
Upon arrival, crews battled flames from the 3-family home which appeared to be originating from the upper levels.
All occupants reportedly exited the building prior to the arrival of the fire department.
2 ambulances were called to the scene.
Utilities, a building inspector, and fire inspector were called to the residence.
As of 7:00 p.m., crews had knocked down the bulk of the fire but were still working the scene.
