Rehoboth Police find man dead in his driveway after 911 call

Authorities located a deceased man in Bristol County over the weekend.

According to police, on Sunday, at just before 8:30 a.m., the Rehoboth Police Department received a 911 call regarding an unresponsive male lying in the driveway at a residence on New St.

Officers of the Rehoboth Police Department responded to the residence on New Street and located a 95-year-old man lying on the ground in the driveway. When officers arrived, they located the man deceased outside his residence in the area of his garage. There was no sign of trauma to the body, no suspicious circumstances or no threat to the public.

The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office was called and responded to the scene.

This case remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit with the assistance of the Rehoboth Police Detective Unit.
