Massachusetts man thinking about family, future, after hitting $2,000,000 State Lottery prize

A Massachusetts man is thinking about his family while also planning for the future after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Juan Diaz-Mendez of Lowell is the winner of a $2 million grand prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” $10 instant ticket game.

Diaz-Mendez opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $1,300,000 (before taxes). He plans on helping his family and investing the winnings.

He purchased his winning ticket at Mobil, 785 Gorham St. in Lowell. The store receives a
$20,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

The “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” instant ticket includes four more grand prizes of $2 million.
