Fall River woman and man in 50s and 60s found dead in bedroom of home, authorities release results of preliminary investigation
FAIRHAVEN — Chief Daniel Dorgan reports that the Fairhaven Police Department and State Police are investigating the deaths of two adults found inside a home on Wednesday evening.
At just after 7:00 p.m., Fairhaven Police received a request for a health and welfare check at a home on Jameson Street.
Officers, with assistance from the Fairhaven Fire Department, were able to make entry into the locked home.
Officers located a woman in her 50s and a man in his 60s unresponsive in a bedroom. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Based on the preliminary investigation, police believe this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public at this time.
Reports are that the couple is from Fall River.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fairhaven Police Department and Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
