Massachusetts State Police, Fall River Fire, EMS respond to multi-vehicle highway crash with injuries

Massachusetts State Police and Fall River personnel responded to a Friday morning highway collision.

According to Massachusetts State Police Chief Community Affairs Officer, Sarah Burgess, at around 7:40 a.m., Troopers from the Dartmouth barracks responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Route 195 westbound just prior to exit 13 in Fall River.  

The operator of a 2020 Toyota Corolla was transported by EMS to Charlton Memorial Hospital with injuries.

A tow truck was called to the scene as well.

Scanner transmissions stated that one person was trapped inside a vehicle with the doors crushed. Members of the fire department were called to open the vehicle using spreaders to rescue the trapped occupant.

The crash is under investigation.
