Fall River Police respond to report of woman hit by projectile believed to be from a BB gun

Officers from the Fall River Police Department responded to an incident on Saturday afternoon.

According to scanner transmissions, a call came into dispatch at approximately 2:00 p.m. for a female hit by a BB gun near Pleasant Street and Eastern Avenue.

The incident was reported to police with the mention of possible nearby cameras, but it is currently unclear if the incident was recorded and if an arrest was made.

A woman on social media with the same name as the reported victim posted the following.

“Intersection of Pleasant St. and Eastern Ave. 2pm: someone shooting BBs out of a building by S&K convenience. I know because I got shot in the f****** shoulder on my way to work. Please use caution in that area.”
