Massachusetts teacher caught allegedly meeting 14-year-old for sex in Bristol County
A Massachusetts teacher is facing some disturbing charges after an incident that took place last month.
According to police, on Saturday, Dudley Police Department was notified by the Taunton Police Department regarding an incident that occurred in their jurisdiction involving a Shepherd Hill High School teacher, Thomas Wilson. Upon receiving this information, the Dudley Police Department immediately informed Dudley-Charlton Regional School District Administration. The district promptly took appropriate action by placing the teacher on administrative leave.
Throughout this process, Taunton Police have remained in contact with the DPD while their investigation continued. In addition, the Dudley Police Department has assigned investigators to this case, which remains active and ongoing.
According to WCVB, Wilson, a band teacher, was in a car with a 14-year-old girl whom he had met on Reddit with the intention of having sex when he was confronted by members of the girl’s family.
Wilson was arraigned in Taunton District Court Friday where he pled not guilty to charges of Possession of Child Pornography, Enticing a Child Under 16, and Reckless Endangerment of a Child. He is being held on $10,000 cash bail.
Wilson has a probable cause hearing on November 7th.
Dudley PD stated that the Dudley-Charlton Regional School District Administration has been fully cooperative during this investigation.
“We encourage parents and guardians to speak with their children and to contact our department directly with any questions or concerns.”
