92-year-old Rhode Island man killed in morning head-on crash
A Rhode Island man has died after injuries he sustained in a serious head-on crash on Monday morning.
According to the East Greenwich Firefighter Union, East Greenwich Firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment in the vicinity of Post Road and Cedar Avenue.
EG Rescue 2 transported 1 trauma patient to Rhode Island Hospital while a Warwick Rescue transported a patient to Kent Hospital.
Warwick Engine 10 and Special Hazards also responded to the scene.
The trauma patient, 92-year-old Edward Amoroso of Warwick, died from his injuries.
Witnesses stated that Amoroso may have passed out before the crash.
