8,966 cases of COVID-19 in Massachusetts, 154 dead

Massachusetts has seen 1,228 more positive cases in the last 24 hours. An increase from the previous 24 hour period.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 8.966 with 32 more dead in the last 24 hours for a total of 154.

Massachusetts had seen 1,118 more positive cases in the previous 24 hour period.

There were 4,870 new tests conducted for a total of 56,608.

Massachusetts continues to ramp up testing.

Massachusetts residents subject to COVID-19 quarantine by current status up to March 31, 2020
Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 8394
Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 3218
Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 5176

According to the CDC, as of April 2nd, the total amount of cases in the country is 213,144 with 4,513 dead.
