$500,000 prize, three $100,000 prizes won in Massachusetts Keno drawing claimed, $1 million unclaimed

DORCHESTER, MA (March 27, 2023) – A $500,000 prize and three $100,000 prizes won in a Massachusetts State Lottery Keno drawing that took place Wednesday, March 22 have been claimed. The winning numbers for this game (#2551121) included every number from 1 through 13.

Robert Taylor of Taunton is the winner of a $500,000 prize (before taxes) won on a ticket he purchased at Atlantic Café located at 10 Plain St. in Taunton. Taylor played the numbers 1 through 11, numbers he has been playing for several years. Taylor, who was joined by his wife Terry when claiming his prize at the Lottery’s headquarters in Dorchester on Thursday, March 23, said he plans on putting his winnings toward buying a home and bringing their grandchildren to Disney World.

The winners of the three $100,000 prizes (before taxes) that have been claimed, with the location of ticket purchase, are:

Edward O’Neil Jr., Ashland TJ’s Food & Spirits, 355 W. Union St. (Rte. 135), Ashland

Patricia Johnson, Falmouth Papa Jake’s, 146 Sandwich Rd., East Falmouth

Cathleen Yessayan, West Roxbury 7-Eleven, 98-100 Winchester St., Newton

A $1 million prize won on a ticket sold at Zenner’s Pub & Deli, 303 Tyler St. in Pittsfield and a $100,000 prize won on a ticket sold at Tiny’s Restaurant, 2 Groton School Rd. in Ayer remain unclaimed. It is the first time a $1 million Keno prize has been won in Massachusetts since the game’s introduction in 1993.

The $1 million prize was won by matching the numbers 1 through 12, while the $100,000 prizes were won by matching the numbers 1 through 10.

Keno players have the option of selecting from 1 to 12 numbers (spots) to play from a field of numbers from 1 to 80. Prizes and odds of winning vary based on the amount of spots played. For each Keno game, a total of 20 winning numbers are randomly selected.

Prizes up to $103,000 can be claimed at all Mass Lottery claim centers, which are located in Braintree, Dorchester (Lottery headquarters), Lawrence, New Bedford, West Springfield, and Worcester. The $1 million prize must be claimed at Lottery headquarters. Regular business hours at all locations are Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (excluding state holidays).
