5-year-old Swansea boy making waves, and money, with his farmstand
A 5-year-old Swansea boy has become quite the entrepreneur and his hard work is paying off.
In the beginning of July, Jameson Jeffers’ father Justin posted on social media how his son set his mind to work hard for some goals he had in creating Jameson’s Farmstand on Sycamore Street.
“This is something he has been working really hard on this year and I don’t think we see that enough anymore. At five years old he has figured out something he wants to do and what he needs to do to make it happen. This spring he took out a loan through the Bank of Dad for seedlings from Frerichs Farm. I tilled and he planted his whole garden. He has already repaid his loan and has a few goals in mind. Right now, he wants to buy a basketball hoop, a house, and a vehicle but I think we’re going to start small lol.”
Jameson has his farmstand open every Sunday at 8:00 a.m. until his product runs out, which has been happening with frequency.
According to his mother Abby, Jameson sold out again last Sunday. He had cucumbers 2/$1, zucchini and squash $1 each and was also selling peppers.
Abby stated that Jameson will continue every Sunday while supplies last, and they are not sure until Sunday morning what crops they will have for sale. On other Sundays, he has also sold potatoes, green beans, and snap peas in addition to the squash, zucchini, cucumbers, and peppers.
We wish Jameson the best as he is well on his way to being a successful businessman!
