34-year-old Fall River man facing charges after allegedly breaking into Dunkin’ location
A city man has been charged after someone broke into a popular breakfast spot Wednesday morning.
According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at just after 2:30 a.m. units responded to Dunkin Donuts located at 400 Quarry Street in response to a burglary alarm activation.
Upon arrival, officers observed that the glass window to the business had been smashed. After checking the business, they determined that no one was inside the building.
With the assistance of the manager, officers were able to review video surveillance footage of the incident and obtain a description of the individual responsible. They would later locate 34-year-old Michael Wahl on the Quequechan Rail Trail. Pereira stated that Wahl was wearing the exact same clothing as seen in the video surveillance from the business.
Wahl was later arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering into a building in the nighttime for a felony and larceny from a building.
According to court records, Wahl pleaded not guilty at his arraignment and was released on personal recognizance. His next court date is a pretrial hearing late next month.
