3 Fall River paramedics injured after driver slams into Fall River EMS vehicle

Multiple people were injured after a crash on Thursday.

According to Fall River EMS, at approximately 10:45 p.m., EMS Training 1, a 2018 Chevy 2500HD extended cab full size pickup truck operating with all of its emergency lighting activated, was escorting EV1 a lightweight mini off-road Ambulance that is used to evacuate patients from highly congested areas with limited access to a main road to a waiting full size Ambulance for transport.

During this time, an alleged impaired operator slammed into the rear of Training 1 causing significant damage to Training 1 and injuring all 3 paramedics that were in the vehicle.

All parties involved were transported to the Hospital. The Paramedics suffered minor injuries and were all discharged Thursday night.

According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, the collision took place on Davol Street at Central Street. Due to the incident report not yet being approved, no other details could be released.
