Fall River Police respond to shooting that led to school being placed on lockdown

Fall River Police are investigating an afternoon city shooting.

According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at just after 1:15 p.m., units responded to the 100 block of Raymond Street after the department received several reports of shots fired in the area.

Officers located several spent shell casings in that area. At least one vehicle sustained damage consistent with a projectile. There is no evidence to suggest that anyone was struck.

  1. Something needs to get done about a lot of s*** there’s too much danger and crime this city is becoming more unsafe each day!!! DO SOMETHING TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN

    1. It’s the complete disregard/disrespect of the ones involved doing something like this where my kids are directly across the street IN A SCHOOL learning, doing the RIGHT thing which is so the opposite of the characters involved in this situation!!!! How freaking shameful, this is how young adults act today, seriously because I know for a fact this situation involves young adults, kids&it makes me so incredibly outraged because I’m sure they wouldn’t want children within their own families having to be out in lockdown over a shoot in outside!!!!! Stop being hypocrites,STOP THE VIOLENCE because ENOUGH IS ENOUGH already!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 I am sooooo disgusted!!!

  2. Man this city has just gotten out of hand. It never used to be this bad and now you gotta keep your head on swivel because you don’t know if someone is gonna start shooting day or night.

  3. This city is becoming an embarrassment between the school community acting like spoiled brat to shooting almost everyday the lack of educational need to keep these kids in school play a big part of these kids/adults could have steady people in their lives Someone to bond with like teachers and such we probably would have half the issues we have it’s a virus circle of life that needs to be broken

  4. This is the second shooting on that street in that past two weeks. The first one they dropped the gun in the street and ran. The cops need to patrol this area a lot more since these thugs moved in.

  5. No sure the mayor can lock up each and every individual that decides they are going to go out and cause trouble….let’s try raising your kids with morals, responsibilities, respect, etc…turning to violence may actually be perceived as bad.

  6. Wow Look at all these stupid comments thinking it’s the Mayor fault that people are shooting at each other and what is the Mayor going to do about it? Why don’t you people stop and look what your kids are doing go in their rooms shakedown their rooms this way you can know what your kids are doing it’s different world out here nowadays! Be a parent to your children, if not one day your child will be having someone else shake down your kids room and wake them up at 7am and put them to bed at 9pm until you children understand right from wrong. PARENTS IT ALL STARTS AT HOME

  7. It’s crazy my granddaughter goes to that school it’s pre-k to 1st grade are they serious no respect them young men are very disrespectful perants need to teach them something fr.
