25-year-old man killed in early morning crash on Route 6
A 25-year-old man was killed in an early morning single vehicle crash on Route 6 over the weekend.
According to the Swansea Fire Department, the fatal crash occurred near Jamie Lynn Lane.
The crash took place just before 12:30 a.m. on Sunday.
According to Patch Swansea and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the victim was identified as Philip Mello, of East Providence. Mello was the only one in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Speed appears to be a factor in the accident.
