23-year-old Massachusetts man dead, five others seriously injured after being ejected in Route 95 crash

One of the victims in Sunday morning’s crash on Route 95 has died from his injuries after being transported to Boston Medical Center.

According to Dave Procopio of the Massachusetts State Police, the deceased is identified as 23-year-old Henry Augustin of Somerville.

Augustin and five other men were occupants of a 2009 Ford Expedition that rolled over multiple times on Route 95 northbound, north of Exit 13, just after 3:20 a.m. on Sunday. All six occupants of the vehicle were ejected.

In addition to Augustin, who was a passenger, the other occupants were as follows:

A 22-year-old Tewksbury man who is believed to have been the driver, and who was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious injuries;
A 28-year-old Everett man who was transported to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries;
A 23-year-old Everett man who was transported to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries;
A 23-year-old Somerville man who was transported to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries; and
A 23-year-old Peabody man who was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with serious injuries.

Procopio stated that the group was returning from a Providence nightclub when the operator lost control of the vehicle for reasons still under investigation.

The investigation is being conducted by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police, including the Troop H Detective Unit and Troopers from the State Police-Foxboro Barracks, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and the State Police Detective Unit for Norfolk County.
