22-year-Fall River Fire Department veteran, Navy vet remembered, “Scott has always been here for us”

The Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts and Fall River Firefighters Local 1314 announced on Friday the Active Duty Death of Scott D. Casey, Firefighter, Engine 6, Fall River Fire Department. 

Casey was a 22-year veteran of the Fall River Fire Department and served in the Navy. 

Casey was one of the Fall River firefighters recognized as Massachusetts Firefighter of the Year in 2022.

The Fall River Firefighter Union released the following statement to Fall River Reporter from Casey’s family.

“Scott has always been here for us, may his memories live on and continue to watch and guide over us and his fellow brothers, during this difficult time.”

Funeral arrangements and service details for Casey will be announced soon.
