20-year-old Massachusetts man, former star high school football player dead after stabbing
Authorities and family members say that a young Massachusetts man was killed early Tuesday morning .
According to Chief Aaron Kennedy, just before 1 a.m., on Tuesday, Leominster Police responded to the report of a stabbing outside of the Riverside Village Apartment complex on State Street.
Upon arrival, officers found one male suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to Leominster Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
Family members say that the victim was 20-year-old Robert Wright Day.
Robert was a graduate of Leominster high school and known as a star football player while attending Athol High School.
Leominster Police and the State Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office continue to actively investigate this incident.
