Upon arrival, officers found a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon heavily damaged and on fire. Officers also

Tiverton Fire and Rescue arrived on scene and transported Sullivan to Rhode Island Hospital where he is in critical condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed Sullivan was travelling south on Fish Road when his vehicle left the lane of travel and crossed into the northbound lane in the area of Bears Den Rd. The vehicle then collided with a large rock on the east side of the roadway, causing the vehicle to become airborne. The vehicle rolled over multiple times, travelling a distance of approximately 370 feet. The vehicle came to rest on Fish Road just south of Hooper Street.

Tiverton Police Detectives and members of the Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene.

At this time, speed appears to be a contributing factor. The accident remains under investigation.
