A Fall River park is expected to get some needed upgrades in the near future.
Massachusetts State Rep Carole Fiola has announced a $150,000 earmark for Lafayette Park in Fall River through the FY2027 state budget.
The funding for Lafayette will go toward repaving cracked and buckled sidewalks to improve safety and accessibility, installing new benches and trash receptacles, and reconstructing the park’s aging flagpole.

In 2021, Fiola secured $325,000 to make improvements to North Park, including new pavement and adding accessibility infrastructure to the park.
