14-year-old Massachusetts teen allegedly shot by 16-year-old remembered as wonderful son

A 14-year-old Massachusetts teen is being remembered after being fatally shot on Friday.

According to Worcester Police, at about 4:15 p.m., Worcester Police officers were dispatched to an address in the lower Belmont St neighborhood for a report of a possible shooting victim. Upon arrival, officers located a fourteen-year-old victim inside an apartment with a serious gunshot wound. Officers rendered medical aid, but the boy was pronounced deceased by paramedics. Detectives arrived and began the follow-up investigation.

On Saturday, at about 12:15 a.m., a sixteen-year-old was placed under arrest in connection with this incident.

A GoFundMe fundraiser organized by the child’s father states that Sterling Baptiste Jr. was the victim.

“On April 26, 2024, our beloved son, Sterling Baptiste Jr., tragically lost his life in a senseless act of violence. The grief we are feeling is indescribable and we are struggling to come to terms with this devastating loss. Sterling was a wonderful son, and he deserves a beautiful and proper send off.”

    Do away with the second amendment and stop manufacturing the damn things. People aren’t smart enough to own such a weapon.

      Hey Bill, I’d be willing to bet my paycheck that the 16 year old wasn’t a licensed, 2nd amendment abiding citizen. The old addage applies here… if you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have them. I’d also be willing to bet that these children’s parents probably didn’t do their job… prove me wrong

    I love how people assume and like to put there 2 cents in, because cornholi0 you need to check your facts before you run your mouth because my son was killed by someone and you think I didn’t do my job except I raised him right since birth when I can bet you lost your kids when your wife left you and took them because you can’t keep your mouth shut
