14-year-old Fall River teen starts business that is sure to cool you off in the summer heat

Who says the younger generation is lazy? A 14-year-old Fall River teen is out to prove that wrong.

With supervision from his parents, Jeremiah Lockery has started selling fruit Spanish ices from his cart called Mr. Icy.

Using inspiration from his sister selling items at craft fairs, Jeremiah started his business so he could make his own money and be his own boss.

“I started my business with the intention of making my own money and becoming my own boss. In the process I’d like to help my mom buy a house even though she keeps telling us to save our money.”

Lockery changes up the flavors, times, and locations. On Thursday he will be at Kennedy Park from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. selling Passion Fruit, Coconut, Strawberry Lemonade and Cotton Candy ices. He also sells pretzels, chips, soda and water.

The ices are $2.00 for a small, $4.00 for a medium, and $6.00 for a large and for Thursday only, the first 100 customers will receive a small for free.

The cart has become so popular in such a short time that Jeremiah sometimes sells out. He just started selling a few days ago.

Great job Jeremiah showing other young people how it’s done.

    “EXCELLENT”
I am on a very Fixed Income, and like Legions of other MA Citizens hurting in these
very hard ‘Economic Times’. But I support Good Folks and Young Folks trying to make a living
    and ‘not being a Layabout’.

I will buy a couple of Small Ones! Hope other ‘Great Americans’ will support him.

I have a 15 year old Grandson that is dying to get a job. This kid is doing what all young people these days should be doing instead of drugs.
