You may want children to look away as ice cream truck rolls over at I-95 off ramp

Attleboro Fire Department crews responded to a vehicle rollover involving an ice cream truck on South Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

According to AFD, at approximately noon, crews were dispatched to the area of South Avenue at the Interstate 95 off ramp for a reported rollover crash. Upon arrival, firefighters found an ice cream truck resting on its side.

The driver was able to exit the vehicle on her own before emergency crews arrived. Attleboro Fire Department EMS personnel evaluated the driver for minor injuries before transporting her to Sturdy Memorial Hospital for further evaluation.

One lane of traffic was closed while firefighters and police worked to secure the scene and remove the vehicle. The roadway was reopened, and crews cleared the scene at approximately 12:40 p.m.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Attleboro Police Department.
