Yorgan De Castro set to return to Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship

Fall River’s Yorgan De Castro is scheduled to make his return to the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
The 38-year-old De Castro will take on Josh Watson June 14th at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.
The 6-foot 274-pound Watson is 7-4 in MMA and 3-1 in BKFC and has reached the final bell in none of those fights leaving a formidable opponent for De Castro.
De Castro is coming off a tough MMA loss last month to former PFL Champion Ante Delija (25-6) of Croatia at Fight Nation Championship 22 at Arena Stožice in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Before the fight with Delija, De Castro had an impressive 12 months as he dominated Springfield, Illinois’ Bobby Brents in his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship debut at Mohegan Sun Arena on February 1st.
After the fight, De Castro stated that he loved fighting without gloves and thinks that it is his home.
On May 3rd, 2024, the UFC and PFL veteran battled Denver’s Kevin “King Kevi” Sears (9-8) for the vacant CES MMA Heavyweight World title at Foxwoods Casino. “The Mad Titan,” a Cape Verdean native fighting out of Regiment Training Center, won by first round KO/TKO leaving him undefeated in 7 appearances with CES MMA.
On June 29th, De Castro won the vacant New England Fights Heavyweight Championship by KO/TKO in the second round against Michigan’s Alex Davidson in Lewiston, Maine.
In November, the 13-6 De Castro won by first round TKO against champion Jahsua Marsh, who fights out of Florida, for the Cage Titans Heavyweight Title at Plymouth Memorial Hall in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
On September 7th the #1 ranked MMA heavyweight in the northeast took on Slovenia’s Miran “Slo Rocky” Fabjan for the Fight Nation interim Heavyweight Championship in Pula, Croatia. De Castro lost by TKO.
De Castro will take on Watson in the co-main event with the card starting at 7:00 p.m.
