Yarmouth K-9 back on his feet
Fallen Yarmouth Police Officer Sean Gannon’s K-9 companion is back on his feet.
Gannon and Nero were both shot when attempting to deliver a warrant in the Marston Mills village of Barnstable. Thomas Latanowich who has 125 prior criminal charges, is currently held on bail on murder charges in the incident.
Gannon was married, a New Bedford native, and a graduate of Bishop Stang High School in Dartmouth and Westfield State University.
On Saturday April 14th, members of the Fall River Police Department K9 Unit partnered with the Boston Bruins Foundation and volunteered their time to help sell raffle tickets for a 50/50 raffle that raised $158,510. Half of the proceeds will be donated to Officer Gannon’s Wife and family.
