Work set to take place on I-195 beneath Fall River Government Center
FALL RIVER – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that it will conduct overnight safety inspection of the ceiling panels underneath Fall River City Hall over Interstate 195.
Routine safety inspections will take place nightly from Monday, April 5 through Friday, April 9, between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Various temporary lane and shoulder closures will be implemented to facilitate these inspections. A minimum of two open travel lanes in each direction will be maintained at all times. All ramps and exits will remain open.
Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advance message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
MassDOT encourages drivers to seek alternate routes, reduce speed, and use caution while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency situation.
