Woonsocket Police are looking for the public’s help to find a suspect that they believe caused serious injury to a dog.

According to WPD, on December 28th, the dog, who police say is a sweet girl that has been re-named Helen, was found abandoned on Elm Street in Woonsocket with serious head trauma.

Police state that the injuries are consistent with a crime.

Due to the injuries, both of her eyes had to be removed.

Tufts Veterinary Medical Center treated Helen and her injuries.

Helen has been adopted by a member of the Tufts staff and is a 6 month to one-year-old chihuahua.
