Woman seriously injured in Easton crash Thursday

EASTON — Chief Kevin Partridge reports that the Easton Fire Department responded to a crash where a woman drove off the road and struck a tree Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 1:35 p.m. Thursday, Easton Fire responded to the area of 415 Main Street for a report of a car that struck a tree.

Upon arrival, firefighters located a woman trapped inside her vehicle. The grey sedan was about 10 feet into the woods and struck a large tree head-on. The woman, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was seriously injured.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools to free the woman and then transported her via Easton Fire ambulance to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.

The woman’s condition is unknown at this time.

The Easton Police Department responded to the scene to assist with traffic.

The cause of the single-vehicle crash remains under investigation.
