A woman was injured Sunday night in Fall River with two men reportedly trying to rob her.

According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Officers responded to the area of 1729 South Main Street, for the report of a domestic argument.

Upon arrival, it was learned that this was not actually a domestic argument, but an attempted robbery.

A 31-year-old female reported to have been walking on South Main Street, when she crossed paths with a white male and black male. After walking past these males, one demanded her purse, while the other threatened her with a knife. She was able to break free from the assailants.

According to the victim, the incident transpired in the area of Walgreens (1512 South Main Street).

The victim was later transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
