With Popeye’s moving to a new Fall River location, the restaurant taking its old spot has been revealed
A Mexican restaurant with locations across southern New England appears to be headed to Fall River.
Popeyes at Flint Village Plaza at 933 Pleasant Street is moving to the former Boston Market spot on 12th Street and will open at the new location soon.
That leaves the Flint Village Plaza spot open, and it looks like it has already been filled.
Owner of Hong Meas and former Fall River City Councilor Ricky Tith told Fall River Reporter that he inquired about the space for another venture and the realtor for the property told him that Baja’s Restaurant has already signed a lease for the space.
Baja’s specializes in authentic Mexican food including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, chimichangas, and quesadillas. They also feature chicken wings, desserts, subs, salads, and wraps.
The restaurant chain currently has 20 locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut including one on Route 6 in Somerset.
You can take your food to go or dine in inside (outside at some locations when the weather permits).
An exact opening date for the new Fall River location is not yet available.
