Winter Storm Watch issued for Rhode Island, much of Eastern MA as snowfall rates could hit an inch an hour
A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for much of the area ahead of a winter storm that could bring plowable snow.
The Winter Storm Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for Rhode Island and eastern Massachusetts, including the Interstate 95 Boston to Providence corridor.
The Watch is in place from late Thursday night through Friday afternoon.
Heavy snow is possible during the Friday morning commute. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches are possible.
Be prepared for difficult travel during the Friday morning commute. Heavy snow may create poor visibility and slippery road conditions.
Snowfall rates of around 1 inch per hour are possible during the Friday morning commute.
