Winter making quick return to Massachusetts, Rhode Island with snow expected Wednesday
While we may be in meteorological spring, snow is still a possibility, and we are expecting to see some on Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut are expected to see accumulating snow.
Snow is expected to begin late morning/early afternoon and end before 10 p.m.
While winter is making a quick return, temperatures may be too warm for much snow to accumulate on the asphalt. Wet, not fluffy, snow is expected to stick to grass and cars regardless.
The forecast:
Wednesday
Snow likely, mainly after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 39. Calm wind becoming southeast 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Wednesday Night
A chance of snow, mainly before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Northeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
