Winner taking safe approach after hitting $1 million Massachusetts State Lottery prize

When someone hits a big State Lottery prize, they generally have dreams of big purchases and rightfully so, but others have a less risky approach.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Lucky 2025 Nominee Trust of Salem has claimed a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Gold 50X” $10 instant ticket game.

The trust, represented by trustee Anthony Keck, opted to receive its prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). Keck said the winner plans on saving the winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Speedway, 295 Derby St. in Salem. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

$4,000,000 Gold 50X has two $4,000,000 and six $1,000,000 prizes remaining.
