Westport resident warning women after alleged indecent exposure incident, chase
A Westport man took to social media to warn the public concerning an alleged incident in town.
Rick Malcolmson posted the following information concerning what he says happened to his wife last week and the details are disturbing.
“My wife was out walking late last week at 8:15 a.m. when a white Lexus slowly crept by her on the opposite side of the street. As she continued, the car turned around and came toward her. The car had stopped in the street, right in front of our driveway. As she approached, the passenger side window was down. She looked in the direction of the car and the driver was masturbating with his shorts to his ankles. She bolted down our driveway for safety. Instead of fleeing, the driver then followed her onto our property. She made it to a house on our property and went inside, gathered her phone and headed out to take a photo. The driver threw it in reverse and damaged his car on our broken down stone wall. We have pieces of the vehicle. She got the license plate and we know who it was and where he lives and who he works for. He is still out there. Know your surroundings.”
According to Sgt. Bryan McCarthy of the Westport Police Department, the incident was reported to police and is being investigated.
