Westport ready to bring back 4th of July parade after hiatus

Westport is ready to put on their annual 4th of July parade, only this year, it is not happening on July 4th.

This year, the popular parade will take place on Monday, July 5th and will start promptly at 10 a.m.

Floats, antique cars, trucks and more will be featured.

The parade route begins at Beach Grove Cemetery and proceeds north on Main Road ending at the Westport High School at about noon.

Main Road is typically closed at approximately 9:15 a.m.

Spectators and participants should get there early before road closure.

Floats lineup on Main Road near Perry’s Bakery.

Volunteers will be on hand to show where to lineup.

Antique cars will line up in Beach Grove Cemetery entering from Hix Bridge Road.
