Westport Police arrest two on drug charges after attempted getaway
Officers arrested two people on drug charges in Westport this week.
According to Westport Police, on Wednesday at approximately 2:48 p.m., Officer Jeremy Dellecese was on patrol in a fully marked cruiser when he observed a red sedan on Bill Street. The two occupants of the vehicle stared as Officer Dellecese drove away from them. The female operator was recognized by Officer Dellecese as being arrested numerous times for drug offenses. He looped the block and drove back to the area and saw her parked on the opposite side of the road. He then watched a male reach into the car and make a quick exchange. Once both parties saw the cruiser, the male ran into a house and the female attempted to drive away. Officer Dellecese stopped the sedan and eventually recovered four grams of crack cocaine.
Scott Rogers was placed under arrest and charged with Distribution of Class B and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Law.
Jo Ann St. Pierre was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Class B Subsequent Offense and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Law.
