Westport Police arrest Dartmouth man wanted in Boston on additional charge
A 2:30 a.m. traffic stop over the weekend by Westport Police resulted in a drug arrest concerning a wanted man.
On Sunday morning, Officer Chicca stopped a vehicle on State Road (Route 6) for attaching plates. During the stop, the front seat passenger was identified as Dennis Brunton from Dartmouth.
A records check revealed Brunton was wanted out of Boston. While he was being taken into custody, a plastic bag containing methamphetamine fell from his pocket and he attempted to conceal the bag by stepping on it.
Brunton is being charged with Possession of Class B.
