A local man has pled not guilty and is being held without bail after an incident earlier this month.
According to police, on March 10th, at just before 1:00 a.m., officers from the Westport Police Department responded to 583 American Legion Highway to investigate a report of a male walking in the backyard with a shotgun.
Upon arrival, officers identified the individual as 56-year-old Albert Cambra who resides at the address. Officers located Cambra in the rear of the residence, unarmed, and detained him while they conducted their investigation. Cambra stated that he had been outside checking his property with a 12-gauge shotgun.

Following this discovery, detectives obtained a second search warrant to continue the investigation. During the second search, detectives located an AR-15 style semi-automatic rifle, a .25 caliber Beretta handgun, and additional suspected controlled substances.
