Westport man arrested in Fall River department store robbery
Fall River Police captured a robbery suspect on Friday after a robber left the scene of the crime.
According to Detective John Robinson, officers responded to the Family Dollar at 870 North Main Street Friday afternoon after a man held up the store.
The suspect left Family Dollar with cash.
FRPD Officers searched the area, and located the suspect in a local Donut Shop.
Richard A. Mello, 25, of 248 Sanford Road, Westport, was taken into custody and
charged with Armed Robbery and Carry a Dangerous Weapon.
