Stasha Lynn Faria of Westport died Saturday night in the area of 653 State Road in Dartmouth as a result of injuries she sustained during the crash.
Faria’s aunt reflected on the niece who tragically lost her life.
“She was an excellent painter and wrote amazing poetry. She loved her little six year old daughter. She also loved the beach and music.”
Faria often stood on the sidewalk where she was fatally struck according to the aunt. “They hit her and took off and left her like a dead animal.”
The investigation by Dartmouth Police and Massachusetts State Police is ongoing.
A BOLO for a Jeep was sent out after the crash, but it is unclear if that is the vehicle in question.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Kyle Costa at 508-910-1755.
