Westport Fire Department issues update on crash on I-195 that injured three
The Westport Fire Department has issued an update on this afternoon’s crash on I-195.
Westport and Dartmouth firefighters responded to a 2 car crash just before 2:00 p.m. this afternoon on Route 195 West near exit 10.
Three of the passengers were transported by Westport, Fall River and Dartmouth EMS for non-life threatening injuries.

According to WFD, the recently installed cable barrier prevented one of the vehicles from crossing the median into oncoming traffic, undoubtedly preventing more significant injuries or perhaps worse.
Traffic was shutdown while crews cleaned the highway of the crash.
