Westport, Dartmouth crews respond to serious Route 6 crash that killed 2, injured 2 others

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III has announced a double motor vehicle fatality on Route 6 in the area of the Westport/Dartmouth line this evening. 

Dartmouth and Westport Police were dispatched a few hours ago to Route 6 after receiving 911 calls regarding a motor vehicle crash. 

Upon arrival, police located two motor vehicles. One, a Toyota Sedan, was located with catastrophic damage.  The male operator and female passenger of that vehicle were transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased a short time later. 

The second vehicle, also a sedan, was located with two occupants who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation into this matter is active and ongoing by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office along with the Massachusetts State Police, Dartmouth Police and Westport Police.
