Westport boy raises money through lemonade stand to help sick cousin, here is how you can help

Some say the younger generation has no work ethic, a young Westport boy would disagree, and it’s all in the name of charity.

According to Westport Police, Casey is doing great things for his newborn cousin, Charlotte, who is currently on a ventilator.

Casey had a lemonade stand set up Friday at 32 Chabot Street in Westport to raise money for his family. Officer Robert Reed spoke with him and his family Friday and Officers Barry Beaulieu and Corey Mack stopped by Saturday to make a donation on behalf of the Westport Police Union.

According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, on Thursday July 25th, Charlotte entered the world at 3:31 a.m. weighing 8lbs 12oz, and 21 inches tall. She had some issues breathing and shortly after, was rushed to Mass General NICU by Boston med flight.

Charlotte is currently on a ventilator that is assisting her breathing, and she is currently stable.

Charlotte’s parents, Nicholas and Rose, have a financial burden for the next few weeks to a month to be able to stay with her at Mass General.

If you want to follow Casey’s lead and help his family, you can donate through the above GoFundMe or through Venmo @missjessssx.
