A Westport boy is restoring faith in humanity and showing all of us how it’s done.

8-year-old Casey Brown, with help from his little sister, held a lemonade stand fundraiser for the Gabriel House victims on Saturday.

According to his mother Jessica, Casey heard about what had happened to the people at the Gabriel House and wanted to help.

With some assistance from some thirsty members of the Westport Police Association and Westport Firefighters IAFF L-1802, Casey raised $500 which was collected by Sharron Furtado of the Firefighter Wives Association.

This isn’t the first time Casey went to work to help those in need.

About a year ago, Casey had a lemonade stand for his baby cousin Charlotte who was in the NICU at Boston, and he raised money for her parents to stay up there with her for 3 weeks.

Jessica says that he enjoys doing the lemonade stand and helping others and is already asking to do another one.

When we told Jessica that she must be proud of her son, she responded, “we are. He’s the best!”
