Well-being check results in police locating dead body outside of home in Rehoboth

Rehoboth Police have announced a death on Monday after a well-being check.

According to police, at just after 8:45 a.m., the Rehoboth Police Department received a phone call requesting a well-being check of an individual at a residence on Brook Street.

Officers of the Rehoboth Police Department responded to the residence on Brook Street in an attempt to contact a 75-year-old man who was the subject of the well-being check. When officers arrived, they located the man deceased outside his residence next to his vehicle. There was no sign of trauma to the body, suspicious circumstances or threat to the public.

The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office was called and responded to the scene.

This case remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit with the assistance of the Rehoboth Police Detective Unit.
