Wanted suspect arrested and charged concerning two bank robberies
Police Chief Matthew Perkins reports that the suspect in a robbery at Eastern Bank was arrested yesterday in Worcester by the Worcester Police Department in connection to another bank robbery.
In addition to the new charges in Worcester, Nathon Ribeiro-Neves, 21, of Brockton, was arrested on an outstanding warrant, issued by Lakeville Police in connection with the Lakeville robbery. Ribeiro-Neves was wanted on the charges of Terroristic Threats, Unarmed Robbery, Stealing by Confining or Putting in Fear, and Larceny over $1,200.
The warrant for Ribeiro-Neves alleges he robbed the Eastern Bank branch located at 45 Main Street in Lakeville on Monday, November 8.
Ribeiro-Neves is expected to be arraigned later today in Central District Court in Worcester and is also expected to appear in Wareham District Court at a later date to be arraigned on the charges from Lakeville Police. He also has two additional outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Chief Perkins commended the efforts of all of the agencies that helped lead to the arrest of Ribeiro-Neves.
