Wanted 48-year-old Fall River man captured by police, held without bail
The 48-year-old Fall River man who failed to show up for the start of his Fall River Superior Court jury trial Monday has been apprehended and ordered held without bail, Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III announced.
Scott Fontaine never appeared in court for his scheduled jury trial Monday morning on indictments charging him with Indecent Assault and Battery on a Person Under the Age of 14, Pose/Exhibit a Child in Nude and Possessing Child Pornography.
After failing to appear in court on Monday, Judge Renee Dupuis issued an arrest warrant for Fontaine.
On Wednesday afternoon, members of the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and Fall River Police located Fontaine in Fall River and took him into custody.
During a hearing today, Judge Dupuis revoked Fontaine’s bail and ordered him held in jail until his trial. A new trial date of March 13th has been scheduled.
