Wanted 20-year-old Fall River man held without bail after shooting through window at housing development
Fall River Police have arrested a city man accused of a previous shooting.
According to police, 20-year-old Joniel Medina was taken into custody Wednesday outside of a residence on Downing Street.
Just before 6:30 p.m., on July 31st, officers responded to the Father Diaferio Village Housing Development on Johnson Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that a single round had been fired through a window.
Police determined Medina was the suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest on August 3rd.
Medina has been charged with Carrying a Firearm Without a License, Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License, Discharging a Firearm Within 500ft of a Building, Discharging a Firearm Striking a Building, and Vandalizing Property.
On Thursday he pled not guilty and was held without bail on dangerousness.
A pretrial hearing is scheduled for September 9th.
